Espresso: ~4 minutes to reach ideal temperature. Leave empty portafilter in machine to warm up

Steaming Milk (R1): ~90 seconds. Push middle rocker switch right. Status light pulses during heating. Short humming sound every 5 seconds when ready.

Steaming Milk (R2): Instant steam - switch middle rocker switch right and open steam valve.

Full Heat-Up: 7 minutes recommended for best overall performance.

1. Insert the black rubber disk (used for backflushing) into the portafilter.
2. Pull 3-5 shots without any coffee.
3. Keep an eye on the pressure gauge for each shot and include that info in your support inquiry.

Check the Power Source: Make sure machine is plugged in securely. Test outlet with another device.

Examine the Power Button: Give it a quick firm press. When released it should illuminate with a constant light. If flashing, there may be a problem - contact contact@anzacoffee.com

The pressure gauge only measures pressure in the group head when pulling a shot. Common reasons for issues:
- Incorrect grind (too coarse)
- Insufficient amount of ground coffee (aim for ~18 grams)
- Insufficient tamping pressure (~15 kilograms of pressure)

Completely normal. The pressure valve releases small amounts of water into the tray at startup and to de-pressurise the grouphead when you end a shot

The water outlets look like nuts but are the outlets directing excess water into the tray.

Raw brass is a living material in constant transformation. It develops a unique patina through a natural oxidation process, and the beauty lies in the choice to polish it off or let it evolve naturally. Want to keep your machine looking sleek and shiny? Say hello to AnZa White Polishing! This specially formulated polish will help keep your machine looking sleek and shiny. Regular polishing not only enhances the appearance of your espresso maker but also protects the surface from wear and tear. The brass tray and top plate will oxidise in contact with water/humidity. Use a brass polish (we recommend Brasso Wadding) to remove the oxidisation and at the same time add a layer of protective polish to the metal. To ensure your steam wand continues to perform at its best, wipe it clean every time you use it with a slightly damp cloth and purge a few seconds of steam to remove milk residue and prevent buildup.

What you need: Cleaning powder (Cafiza) + blind filter basket or the black rubber disk that came with the machine

1. Set Up: Insert rubber disk (nipple up) into portafilter, add 1/2 tsp cleaner.
2. Run Backflush Cycles: Lock portafilter, run brew for 10-15 seconds, stop. Repeat 5 times.
3. Rinse: Remove portafilter, rinse, run 5 more cycles with just water.
4. Final Clean: Clean around group head with brush, wipe down.

Pro Tip: Backflush bi-weekly or every ~25 shots.

Every 2-3 months. Use Dezcal.

1. Mix descaling solution with water.
2. Fill reservoir with solution.
3. Run 1/4 through group head + steam wand, sit 15-20 min.
4. Repeat until tank nearly empty, pausing every 1/4.
5. Flush with fresh water 3-5 cycles until no smell/taste remains.

Tips: Use filtered water. Check water hardness if using tap water.

Back Flushing with Cafiza

Cleaning the inside of your machine is just as important as keeping the outside shiny. Regular back flushing helps eliminate coffee oils and residue that can build up over time. For this we recommend using Cafiza, which is easy to use and ensures your machine stays clean and functioning smoothly. Back flush every 50 shots, your Anza will thank you!

Descaling

Anza machines come in both 120V and 230V. USA, Canada, Japan use 110V. Europe and many other countries operate on 220-240V. When purchasing, you'll automatically be offered a machine that works in your location.

Our products are very well packaged to survive their journey to you, but unfortunately damage does sometimes occur during transport. In these rare cases, please take clear photos / video of damage or other issues and email contact@anzacoffee.com with your order number. We'll arrange pickup (package in original packaging) and offer a replacement or a refund.

Our Return and refund policy applies to Europe and North America. We offer a 30 day refund period from the day you receive the product. Please email contact@anzacoffee.com with your order number so we help you out. Refunds are processed once returned item is received at warehouse. We have to charge a $200 restocking fee for R2 returns as its a lot of work to check the machine and get it ready for a new life! (we don't sell returned machines as new machines)

30-day return policy. Returns possible only on sales in Europe and North America. Item must be in original packaging (double box). Replacement packaging available for $50 fee. Restocking fee of $250. Restocking fee for damaged machine may be increased.

The shower screen is a perforated metal disk mounted in the grouphead that distributes water evenly over the grounds in the portafilter. Its simple to remove and clean: unscrew the central fastener, clean residue, reinstall.

Your Anza machine will be work with either 120V or 240V (see the voltage sticker on the base of the machine) The 240V machines are delivered with a EU plug as standard (Hybrid CEE 7/7), the 120V machines have a USA plug. The detachable power cord with either a USA or EU plug, ensuring compatibility with outlets in those regions.

If you find yourself in the UK, Australia or anywhere else with different plug requirements, you can easily switch out the enclosed power cord with a cord that has a compatible plug. For UK customers, here's a convenient option: UK plug cord on Amazon

Please note that using the correct plug not only guarantees a secure connection but also protects your machine from electrical issues. Always make sure to check the voltage of the machine and compatibility with your local outlets.
